What is the dress code?

The dress code is smart/casual. Smart jeans are acceptable, but not ripped jeans, flip flops or trainers.

Which restaurants can I book if I am not an MCC member?

The Thomas Lord Suite, Harris Garden and MCC Cricket Academy are open to MCC Members and the general public for international matches.

The Sir Pelham Warner Restaurant is open to MCC Members and guests for international and T20 matches; however it is open to the general public for county matches.

MCC Members have a priority booking period, until Monday 10 February 2014 when we will be open to the general public.

Will I receive restaurant tickets?

The Thomas Lord Suite is the only ticketed restaurant, for all others please bring along your confirmation letter on the day.

Are children/babies allowed in the restaurant?

Yes – although we do not offer a children’s menu. Please do let us know if you require a high chair in advance so we can accommodate this. We also ask that you are mindful of the other diners.

Dietary requirements?

We try to accommodate all dietary requirements, please inform us of any dietary requirements at the time of booking.

Do you have lift access?

There is no lift access to the Warner stand or Warner restaurant – there are two flights of stairs up to the restaurant.

All other restaurants have lift access or are at ground level.

How do I reserve a table?

What is the maximum table size I can book?

The maximum table size is for six people in all our restaurants.

What time is breakfast served from?

Breakfast is served from gate opening time until 10:45am

What happens if it rains?

If it rains your restaurant reservation will go ahead as normal as play will not be abandoned until late in the afternoon by which time breakfast and lunch will have passed.

There are no refunds for restaurant bookings should play be delayed or abandoned due to adverse weather conditions.

Restaurant Terms and Conditions

General

1. All restaurant bookings are subject to availability.
2. Lunch sittings are staggered. Guests will be allocated a sitting time when they make their booking.
3. Bookings can be made by contacting MCC by email at restaurants@lords.org or by telephone on 020 7616 8563.

Sir Pelham Warner Restaurant (the Warner Restaurant)

4. The Warner Restaurant may be open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea on days of International Matches, Twenty20 Cup Matches, the Domestic One Cup Final and MCC v Rest of the World (“Major Matches”), and may be open for lunch and afternoon tea only on days of non-Major Matches, subject always to the scheduled commencement time of the match in question.
5. On days of Major Matches, the Warner Restaurant is only available to Full Members and their guests for whom they have purchased Rover tickets. Associate and Senior Members may also make bookings, with guests, for the days on which they are entitled to purchase Rover tickets.
6. The Warner Restaurant may be open on days one and two during a County Championship four day match. Days three and four of the match may only be open for bookings on condition that the Warner Restaurant attracts a minimum number of bookings for those days.
7. The Warner Restaurant may be open only on days one to four during a Test Match. No bookings will be taken for day 5 of a Test Match.
8. Bookings made for days of Major Matches will be balloted and Members informed at least four weeks prior to the Major Match in question as to whether they have been successful. Members who have been unsuccessful will have the option of being placed on a waiting list and informed at any time prior to such Major Match whether they have secured a booking.
9. All bookings for Major Matches require payment upfront. A credit or debit card number must be provided at the time of booking in order to secure the booking.
10. All bookings on days of non-Major Matches of 7 persons or more require a deposit of £20 per person. A credit or debit card number must be provided at the time of booking in order to secure the booking. This deposit will be redeemable against the final bill.
11. All bookings for afternoon tea on non-Major Matches require payment upfront. A credit or debit card number must be provided at the time of booking in order to secure the booking.
12. Any changes to a booking must be made at least 10 working days prior to the scheduled commencement of any match, irrespective of the day for which a booking has been made. For example, if a booking is made for day 4 of a Test Match, any changes to a booking must be made at least 10 working days prior to day 1 of that Test Match.
13. If a booking is cancelled more than 10 working days prior to the scheduled commencement of the day for which the booking has been made, a full refund will be issued less a £4 per person administrative charge. If a booking is cancelled 10 working days or less before the scheduled commencement of a match, no refund will be issued.
14. Refunds will be issued if there is no play on a day of a match due to an early conclusion of such match (i.e. it concluded the day before).
15. No refunds will be issued if there is no play on a day of a match due to inclement weather.
16. On days of non-Major Matches, lunch bookings may be made by any member of the general public.
17. On days of non-Major Matches, MCC reserves the right to cancel any lunch bookings due to failure to attract the minimum number of bookings required. In such instances MCC will try to make alternative arrangements for lunch to be taken in the Lord’s Tavern, located by Grace Gate of Lord’s Cricket Ground.
18. On days of Major Matches, Members must accompany their guests for bookings in the Warner Restaurant.
19. Only guests with a reservation will be allowed entry to the Warner Restaurant.
20. Particular tables in the Warner Restaurant cannot be guaranteed under any circumstances, including any tables located by the windows.
21. Guests are asked to arrive at their designated sitting time. Tables will only be held for 15 minutes before being released and re-sold without further notice. If guests are running late for any reason, they are asked to call the Restaurant Reservations telephone line on 020 7616 8563 as soon as possible. Guests should note that there is no guarantee that tables will be held for any longer than 15 minutes.

Harris Garden Seafood and Champagne Bar (Harris Garden)

22. The Harris Garden is open for lunch bookings on days of Major Matches only.
23. Subject to the sitting time allocated, guests may also be given a finishing time due to turnaround times for tables.
24. Guests are asked to arrive at their allocated sitting time. Tables will only be held for 15 minutes before being released and re-sold without further notice. If guests are running late for any reason, they are asked to call the Restaurant Reservations telephone line on 020 7616 8563 as soon as possible. Guests should note that there is no guarantee that tables will be held for any longer than 15 minutes.
25. MCC requires a credit or debit card number to secure all bookings.
26. Any changes to a booking must be made at least five (5) working days prior to the scheduled commencement of a match, irrespective of the day on which a booking has been made for. For example, if a booking is made for day 4 of a Test Match, any changes to a booking must be made at least five working days prior to day 1 of that Test Match.
27. If a booking is cancelled more than five (5) working days prior to the scheduled commencement of the day for which the booking has been made, a cancellation fee of £20.00 per person will be charged to the credit or debit card supplied at the time of making the booking.

Thomas Lord Suite (The Thomas Lord)

28. The Thomas Lord may be open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea on days of Major Matches only.
29. All bookings require payment upfront. A credit or debit card number must be provided at the time of booking in order to secure the booking.
30. Guests are asked to arrive at their allocated sitting time. Tables will only be held for 15 minutes before being released and re-sold without further notice. If guests are running late for any reason, they are asked to call the Restaurant Reservations telephone line on 020 7616 8563 as soon as possible. Guests should note that there is no guarantee that tables will be held for any longer than 15 minutes.
31. The Thomas Lord may be open only on days one to four during a Test Match. No bookings will be taken for day 5 of a Test Match.
32. Tables will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
33. Any changes to a booking must be made at least 10 working days prior to the scheduled commencement of a Major Match, irrespective of the day for which a booking has been made for. For example, if a booking is made for day 4 of a Test Match, any changes to a booking must be made at least 10 working days prior to day 1 of that Test Match.
34. If a booking is cancelled more than 10 working days prior to the scheduled commencement of the day for which the booking has been made, a full refund will be issued less a £4 per person administrative charge. MCC Cricket Academy (Cricket Academy)

37. The Cricket Academy may be open for breakfast for Members and their guests and to any member of the general public for lunch on days of Major Matches only.
38. Members must accompany their guests for bookings in the Cricket Academy at all times.
39. Lunch bookings require payment upfront. A credit or debit card number must be provided at the time of booking in order to secure the booking.
40. For lunch sittings, guests are asked to arrive at their designated sitting time. Tables will only be held for 15 minutes before being released and re-sold without further notice. If guests are running late for any reason, they are asked to call the Restaurant Reservations telephone line on 020 7616 8563 as soon as possible. Guests should note that there is no guarantee that tables will be held for any longer than 15 minutes.
41. The Cricket Academy may be open only on days one to four of a Test Match. No bookings will be taken for day 5 of a Test Match.
42. Any changes to a booking must be made at least 10 working days prior to the scheduled commencement of a Major Match, irrespective of the day on which a booking has been made for. For example, if a booking is made for day 4 of a Test Match, any changes to a booking must be made at least 10 working days prior to day 1 of that Test Match.
43.
