Bradshaw steps down from ECB Board

MCC Secretary & Chief Executive Keith Bradshaw has announced he is stepping down from the ECB Board of Directors, citing a conflict of interests.

Bradshaw: Standing down from ECB board with immediate effect Keith Bradshaw said: "I feel that my position at MCC and my role as a spokesperson for the Club means that there can be situations in which my loyalty as a director of the ECB is in conflict with my executive duties with the MCC.

"I have therefore stood down from the ECB Board with immediate effect.

"With our role as Guardian of the Laws and Spirit of Cricket, and owners of Lord’s, MCC is at the heart of the English and international game.

"I have been pleased to play a full part in the ECB Board strategy and policy decisions since becoming an ECB director.

"MCC has an open and co-operative dialogue with ECB and we will continue to work closely with Giles Clarke, the ECB chairman, and David Collier, the Chief Executive, on all matters."

Giles Clarke said: "Keith has played a prominent role on our Board and has always been a valued director by the ECB.

"We have been discussing for some time the most appropriate representative of the MCC that avoids a conflict of interests.

"We thank Keith for his contribution and look forward to MCC continuing to play a substantial role on the ECB Board."

MCC will appoint its representative to the ECB Board in due course. Keith Bradshaw and MCC will be making no further comment on this issue at this time.
