Marcus Trescothick cutting for Somerset
Marcus Trescothick is unsure if he will make the final
Somerset have been English crickets perennial bridesmaids over the past few seasons, finishing runner-up in the 2010 CB40 Final, the LV County Championship and the last three T20 Cup finals.

Their run suggests a team primed to finally lift their first trophy since 2005 but they face a Surrey outfit who have been the most impressive side in the competition so far.

The south London based county have reached the final with some impressive displays of hard hitting batting, coupled with an attack spearheaded by England seamer Jade Dernbach.

Dernbach is expected to play, despite being on England duty on the previous day, as is Somerset wicket-keeper batsman Craig Kieswetter.

Kieswetter’s regular opening partner Marcus Trescothick is still struggling with injury though and is unsure of his place in the side for the final, after damaging his ankle.

Travel

Lord's is well served by both Tube and bus routes:

There are planned closures affecting the Central, District, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan, as well as the London Overground service.

There are a number of alternative ways to get to the Ground - not least some picturesque walks.

Kids at Lord's

One of the wristbands
Bringing children to Lord's? MCC want all young cricket fans to enjoy a safe trip to The Home of Cricket. Lord's operates a free wristband scheme.

The wristband is completed with the parent or guardian's contact details and seat number.

Then, should the child get lost around the Ground, a Lord's Steward can help reunite them with their parent/guardian.

Making Lord's greener

MCC are always striving to make Lord's even more environmentally responsible.

We are asking those that come to the matches at Lord's to help us with our recycling efforts.

Every 'litter station' around the Ground now has three, colour-coded bins:

The Lord's recycling bins
Keep an eye out for the Lord's recycling bins
Blue bins: Are exclusively for disposing of glass.
Green bins: Dry recyclables: paper, card, plastic and cans etc.
Red bins: For general waste which cannot be recycled (cartons with food on etc.)

A few years back most of the rubbish from Lord's went to landfill - a far from ideal situation.

MCC have already made moves to turn that around and reduce our impact on the environment.
