The three-year deal, starting in 2009, will include stand-out Test and One-Day International matches against Australia, and international visits from India, West Indies, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.

In addition, county teams can look forward to an end-of-season trip to Lord’s should they qualify for the Friends Provident Trophy Final.

Keith Bradshaw, MCC’s Secretary & Chief Executive, said: "We’re very pleased with the outcome of the major match programme announcement.

"This has been the result of many months of hard work by MCC and detailed negotiations with the ECB.

"It is an especially good result to see Test matches continue to be played at 'The Home of Cricket' for each overseas team, and we can now look forward to years of exciting and memorable action at Lord’s."

The Lord’s Ashes Test Match – which will be the second in the series - will begin on Thursday 16th July. Dates are as yet unconfirmed for the other future matches.

MCC is awaiting tender documents to enable the Club to bid for a Test Match during the first part of the 2010 season.

The inaugural Friends Provident Trophy Final (which was then known as the Gillette Cup) was held at Lord’s in 1963, when Sussex defeated Worcestershire by 14 runs.

The final has been held at the Home of Cricket in each subsequent year.
