1:31pm The England players are doing another lap of honour - with trophy in hand this time and they're getting a standing ovation from each of the stands at Lord's. They're loving this and well they might - they've earned it with some truly brilliant cricket.

Thanks for following the Final with Lords.org - we switch our attentions now to the Men's Final: Pakistan v Sri Lanka. Stay with us for the very best coverage and the very latest action live from Lord's:

1:28pm After a long wait, with countless interviews: "We love coming to Lord's. For the first time we've had such a great amount of support." says player-of-the-match, Brunt.

"I didn't think it could get better than Sydney (winning the 50-over World Cup) but it has today." says the captain, Edwards.

Charlotte Edwards lifts the ICC World Twenty20 trophy at Lord's
England captain Charlotte Edwards lifts the World T20 trophy

Then - streamers fly, fireworks and Edwards lifts the trophy at last!

England win the ICC World Twenty20

1:25pm Winners medals for the England team now, including three former MCC Young Cricketers and MCC Members too. Player of the tournament, Claire Taylor's a Membera and skipper Charlotte Edwards (another Member) is on the Young Cricketers sub-committee.

1:22pm Runners-up medals for the White Ferns. They don't look overjoyed about it now (who can blame them?) but they should look back on this tournament with great pride - they performed really well but were undone by the hosts and probably the best women's team in the world.

1:18pm Almost every person in the crowd is on their feet applauding the England Women. The Members in the Pavilion (and, despite press reports to the contrary, there are 2000+ more in the Warner Stand) are on their feet too giving these players a great reception.

Claire Taylor is a predictable and worthy pick as player-of-the-tournament - she gets the first trophy of the presentation. Katherine Brunt was player-of-the-match a bottle of bubbly for her - well earned for her three wickets.

1:08pm Send us your plaudits for the England Women Live@Lords.org. They've been excellent from the first match to the last. My player of the tournament has to be Claire Taylor - do you agree?

Send us your emails - your player of the tournament; young player of the tournament - and your congratulations messages for England.

England captain, Charlotte Edwards, holds aloft the Ashes Trophy
Edwards with The Ashes trophy at Lord's
1:05pm The presentation stage is being pieced together rapidly on the outfield, England still waving to the crowd. Charlotte Edwards will lift the trophy soon - adding it to The Ashes and 50-over World Cup which they won recently in Australia.

1:02pm Victory for England and appropriate that Taylor should hit the winning runs - she has been outstanding for England throughout the tournament.

The team set-off on a lap of honour and even the press up here in the Investec Media Centre are applauding. We ran out of superlatives for this team long ago, they've obliterated every team put before them.

England win the ICC World Twenty20

12:58pm 17th over: Gunn runs a single there - Taylor wasn't convinced and was almost caught out hesitating. She just made it to the striker's end in time. Nerves jangling for England as the win draws within sight. Just six runs needed.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman scores a boundary, fourTwo more runs make it just four needed... and Taylor does it in one! A big, driven four down the ground and she's punching the air before it's even reached the rope!

England win by six wickets

Lords.org commentary icon: New bowler comes on12:54pm 16th over: Five overs left - 14 runs needed for an England victory. This should be fairly straightforward.

Sophie Devine comes back to bowl at the Pavilion End.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman outGreenway's gone! Devine gets her, clean bowled, great delivery. New Zealand are going to give this everything. Impossible? Nothing...

England 74-4 - Greenway - b. Devine - 3

12:50pm 15th over: Just 16 more runs needed for England, they're taking this away from the Kiwis.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman outMorgan's gone and that was needless. She hangs her head after she watches McGlashan take a simple catch.

England 70-3 - Morgan - c. McGlashan b. Browne - 6

Lords.org commentary icon: New bowler comes on12:47pm 14th over: Lucy Doolan replaces Bates, bowling at the Pavilion End. England still ticking along nicely at over 4-runs-per-over. That should be plenty.

A good relay chase at the boundary prevents that one going for four for Taylor - they run three.

Lords.org commentary icon: New bowler comes on12:44pm 13th over: Nicola Browne replaces Pulford, bowling from the Nursery End. New Zealand far from out of this game at the moment.

At nearly 5'10" it will be no surprise to hear that Browne's a decent netball player in New Zealand too.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman scores a boundary, four12:39pm 12th over: Another four from Taylor brings up England's fifty. That one was close to the square-leg fielder, but not close enough. "Well placed" I'm sure Claire would say!

Bates drifting wide and Taylor reaching out to dink it away for a single. Next ball and Morgan almost places it perfectly into the square-leg fielder's hands this time... but it's dropped! A let off for England.

12:35pm 11th over: These two batsmen: Claire Taylor and Beth Morgan were the ones who steered England past the winning post in their semi-final against Australia - chasing that massive total at The Oval. Can they repeat those heroics here at Lord's?

Lords.org commentary icon: New bowler comes onTaylor (only Claire left at the crease now) drives that one down the ground for four more runs. A smooth flowing shot.

Pulford's four overs are complete: 1-20 for her.

Lords.org commentary icon: New bowler comes on12:33pm 10th over: That brings current MCC Young Cricketer, Beth Morgan, to the crease. She should be familiar with Lord's at least - whether she's played on the pitch, with the Ground this full before is unlikely - come on "Our Beth"!

A good over from Suzie Bates.

12:28pm 9th over: Pulford bowling with great accuracy, that one pitched right in on Sarah Taylor's toes. The Kiwis need to keep that up to have a chance of stopping England from reaching their required total of 86 to win.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman outThat will help! Taylor's gone! Sarah Taylor that is. A big swing, a little edge and a large Kiwi celebration.

England 39-2 - S. Taylor - c. Priest b. Pulford - 23

12:25pm 8th over: Another good over from Ruck, restricting the batters to singles.

Ruck's overs complete she ends with 1-17.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman scores a boundary, four12:22pm 7th over: Lovely shot from the wicketkeeper-batsman, a great hook off her hips for four by Sarah Taylor. Well played.

"Claire" gets off the mark with a four as well, a bit more luck for her though, a streaky edge running for four - frustration for Pulford.

12:18pm 6th over: For the curious out there, Sarah Taylor (not to be confused with Samantha Taylor, who goes by Claire Taylor) - her middle name is Jane. Got it?

Anyone else out there with an embarassing middle name? Mine's "Vincent". I know, I know... England footballer Emile Heskey's sticks in my mind for some reason - it's "Ivanhoe". What's yours, come on share:

You're missing nothing - good over from Ruck, just one from it.

Lords.org commentary icon: New bowler comes on12:15pm 5th over: The first bowling change of the innings, Kate Pulford replaces Devine at the Nursery End.

Just to add to the confusion, both Taylor's are "S. Taylor". Claire (first name Samantha) prefers to go by her middle name.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman scores a boundary, four12:10pm 4th over: Edwards gets in on the act now, clipping the first ball of this Ruck over for four, a neat late cut shot.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman scores a boundary, fourFour more for Edwards as she moves ahead of Taylor's score for the first time, drilled for four runs, good stuff from the skipper.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman outNext ball and she's out! Ruck's got the captain, bowled as she played and missed. Ruck didn't miss.

England 19-1 - Edwards - b. Ruck - 9

Taylor and Taylor at the crease now for England. I hope she'll forgive us, but for clarity sake we'll call Claire Taylor "Claire" just so we're all clear who's scoring what.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman scores a boundary, four12:07pm 3rd over: Almost a maiden from Devine but Taylor clubs the last ball for four, straight back down the ground.

12:04pm 2nd over: Sian Ruck, the left-arm medium pacer will bowl from the Pavilion End, Edwards on strike first.

Just singles from the over, good fielding from the White Ferns.

12 noon 1st over: Sophie Devine comes fresh from batting to opening the bowling. Sarah Taylor and the captain, Edwards batting.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman scores a boundary, fourTaylor starts well, second ball and she shuffles into an uppish drive for four.

11:58am Here come the players on to the field again - Aimee Watkins will really have to lift her team to ensure they're in the match.

Lydia Greenway gets the congratulations for England
Lydia Greenway gets the congratulations after a great catch
11:53am This picture (left) sums up the mood for England - Lydia Greenway gets the congratulations after her great catch but the entire England team are bouncing.

That was an excellent performance bowling and in the field. They're really in the ascendency.

New Zealand's 89 is the fourth lowest total of the tournament overall. With their batting power (NZ also recorded two of the highest team totals) that's testament to England's bowling performance.

New Zealand close on 89 all out

Lords.org commentary icon: New bowler comes on11:46am 20th over: The England skipper, Charlotte Edwards, brings herself on to bowl the final over.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman scores a boundary, fourDevine's taken a big pull at that one and nicks it... it runs all the way to the rope, despite Atkins' last-gasp dive at the rope. Four.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman outThe captain's got a wicket, Pulford went for another big shot and just looped it to to Claire Taylor in the covers.

New Zealand 84-9 - Pulford - c. C. Taylor b. Edwards - 14

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman outThe Kiwis desperately try to boost their total but crazy running will get them nowhere. Devine pressed for two when there was only one and she's run-out on the last ball.

New Zealand 85 all out - Devine - run out (Greenway) - 10

11:42am 19th over: A swing, an edge and great running make that three for Devine. The White Ferns running for all they're worth in this penultimate over.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman scores a boundary, fourNo need to run for that one - a great shot from Pulford who rocked back and powered that one for four. Well played.

Lords.org commentary icon: New bowler comes on11:37am 18th over: Nicky Shaw returns to the bowling attack, replacing Colvin at the Nursery End.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman outSatterthwaite's one-woman resistance mission continues as she cuts away for two more but she's gone, trying to force the pace.

New Zealand - 62-8 - Satterthwaite - c. C. Taylor b. Shaw - 19

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman scores a boundary, fourFour for Pulford from her first ball - a thick edge and it beats the fielders and goes for four. The stroke of luck the Kiwis badly need.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman out11:32am 17th over: A chat halfway down the pitch for the batsmen - they really need to pick up this run-rate if they're to challenge the England batters.

Tsukigawa's gone down swinging - a wild swipe at that one and Taylor takes a simple catch behind the stumps.

New Zealand 58-7 - Tsukigawa c. S. Taylor b. Gunn - 5

11:29am 16th over: A single for Satterthwaite brings up the 50 for New Zealand in this over from Colvin.

Lords.org commentary icon: New bowler comes on11:21am 15th over: Jenny Gunn replaces Shaw at the Pavilion End a bit of pace and seam for England.

First ball and some very risky running there. The wicketkeeper, Taylor (Sarah) dives full-length to break the wicket but the Kiwis stand their ground. We go to the TV umpire... "Not out" the verdict... Satterthwaite survives.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman outAnother bowler, another wicket. One for Gunn this time as McGlashan holes out to Greenway at long on.

New Zealand - 48-6 - McGlashan - c. Greenway b. Gunn - 9

End of the over: 1-0-1-1 for Gunn. One over; no maidens; one run; one wicket. Not a bad start!

11:21am 14th over: Better from these two at the crease now, sharp running and consistent scoring as they edge the total up towards 50.

A great diving stop from Greenway prevents four - generous applause for that, good effort in the field.

Katherine Brunt celebrates a wicket
Katherine Brunt celebrates one of her three wickets
11:17am 13th over: Here's a great action picture from Lord's. Katherine Brunt celebrating another wicket after England's express-train start.

Risky running from the White Ferns almost costs them dear but the throw to the 'keeper was wide and McGlashan just makes her ground in time.

11:14am 12th over: Colvin not quite finding her line yet and going for a few more runs there as the Kiwis look to find a settled partnership to try and save this match.

11:09am 11th over: New Zealand 30-4 at the halfway point. This is top-notch stuff from England. The White Ferns just cannot break free.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman outNicky Shaw joins the wicket party! She's cleaned up Browne with a great delivery.

New Zealand - 31-5 - Browne - b. Shaw - 1

In case you were wondering, McGlashan is the sister of Peter who was in the Kiwis' men's squad.

Lords.org commentary icon: New bowler comes on11:05am 10th over: The second bowling change - Holly Colvin comes on. No let up for New Zealand, Colvin is the tournament's leading wicket taker.

A couple of wides from Colvin, trying too hard perhaps. Oh, three wides now. Head in hands for the slow left-armer.

Send us your emails - I was just wondering about the numbers the players wear. I’m sure they all have a reason for them. Covin wears #10 - like a soccer number 10 she's a key player, one of the stars of the team for England.

Which squad number would you wear (0-99) and why? Live@Lords.org.

Lords.org commentary icon: New bowler comes on11:01am 9th over: Former MCC Young Cricketer, Nicky Shaw is the first bowling change. She comes on at the Pavilion End.

Just three runs from it, all singles.

10:55am 8th over: Brunt will bowl out her four overs too - bowling changes coming up soon.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman outDoolan tries a "Dilshan" scoop shot but totally telegraphs it - Taylor saw it coming and takes a brilliant, full-length diving catch. Out.

New Zealand 23-3 - Doolan c. S. Taylor b. Brunt - 14

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman out for a duck (no runs)Another one down - disaster for New Zealand! Priest out for a duck.

New Zealand 23-4 - Priest - c&b Brunt - 0

Brunt's figures 6-3. Three wickets for just six runs - superb.

10:52am 7th over: Singles from the White Ferns as they take time to settle against accurate bowling. Four overs, 1-16 for Marsh.

Lords.org commentary icon - maiden over10:49am 6th over: A great start to the over from Brunt: a loud LBW appeal (turned down) and beating the bat too. England are bubbling. A maiden over, well bowled.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman scores a boundary, four10:46am 5th over: Great shot - lovely drive on the up from Doolan picks the spot between the fielders perfectly - four.

10:41am 4th over: Brunt giving the ball a good shine as Edwards juggles the field placings.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman outNo fielders needed! Brunt's got her, first ball of the over! Watkins gone a massive wicket for England!

New Zealand 10-2 - Watkins b. Brunt - 2

What a start for England, two wickets in the first four overs and the tournament's leading run-scorer back in the dugout.

10:38am 3rd over: Watkins off the mark with a single.

Taylor has the bails off again (wow, she is quick) but Watkins jabbed her back foot down in time.

10:34am 2nd over: Katherine Brunt to open the bowling at the Nursery End.

A lot of clapping and encouragement from the England fielders, captain Edwards at point leading the applause. Brunt getting good pace and movement, tucking Doolan up there with a darting one at the body.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman scores a boundary, fourDoolan gets the first four of the innings from the last ball of the over, stepping into a lovely drive beating two chasing fielders to the rope.

10:31am 1st over: We start bang on time and Laura Marsh, opening from the Pavilion End starts with a couple of dot balls.

Lords.org commentary icon: Batsman outA couple of runs and then Bates is gone! A great stumping by Sarah Taylor with the gloves - Bates swung, missed and the bails were off in a flash!

New Zealand 2-1 - Bates - st. S. Taylor b. Marsh - 1

Watkins is a very dangerous batsman for the Kiwis - but she'll not have expected to bat in the first over.

10:27am That's it, anthems done. The Ground filling up nicely. Both teams head to their dug-outs - England will out there fielding soon, having put the Kiwis in to bat.

In the seven (men's) matches here so far, five have been won by the team batting first - so that was a brave call by Charlotte Edwards, having won the toss.

10:25am It should be a cracking contest. The tournament's two best batters: England's Claire Taylor vs. New Zealand skipper Aimee Watkins.

Two of the tournament's best bowlers: England's Holly Colvin and the White Ferns' Sian Ruck (both left-armers incidentally).

The Kiwis can boast the edge in the field: Suzie Bates has the most catches (4) in the tournament; Rachel Priest has the most stumpings (4) and Sara McGlashan the most run-outs (3).

National anthems...

10:20am The TV cameras are waiting, the officials are coming down the Pavilion steps... we're moments away from what should be a thrilling final. We'll talk you through all the key action. Stay with Lords.org for all the latest from Lord's.

10:10am Team news: New Zealand team is confirmed: Doolan; Bates; Watkins; Satterthwaite; Browne; McGlashan; Priest; Tsukigawa; Devine; Pulford and Ruck. They're unchanged too. No surprises there.

10:05am Team news: England team is confirmed: Sarah Taylor; Edwards; Claire Taylor; Morgan; Greenway; Gunn; Atkins; Shaw; Pratt; Colvin and Marsh. In other words, they're unchanged from the semi-final.

10:03am Toss news: England have won the toss and elected to field.

Controversial decision there, for my money. They batted second in the semi-final and it almost back-fired.
