Finn in for England
Date released: 23 May 2010

Finn-line for Test action - Steve Finn Middlesex bowler and Lords.org columnist Steve Finn is in the England squad for the Test match against Bangladesh at Lord's - starting on Thursday 27 May.
Finn (who writes his 'Finn Line' columns on Lords.org) made his England debut just a few months ago during the tour of Bangladesh.
Even then he was only called up as a cover for the injured Graham Onions and Ryan Sidebottom. A week or two later and the selectors were raving about the 6'7" bowlers pace, control and aggression.
Now, after an electric start to his LV County Championship campaign with Middlesex (Finn took 14 wickets in his first match of the season) Finn retains his place in the England Test squad.

Chances for the new-comers

Eoin Morgan may make his Test debut Finn's Middlesex team-mate, Eoin Morgan also makes the squad.
As predicted on Lords.org, Morgan's explosive, innovative batting in England's T20 World Cup win in the Caribbean has played him into Test contention.
Another young seam bowler also makes the squad - Yorkshire's Ajmal Shahzad.
Two of Finn, Morgan and Shahzad will find themselves thrust into Test match action at the Home of Cricket with the other likely to be 12th man.
World Cup-winning skipper Paul Collingwood is rested from the squad as he recovers from a shoulder injury. Nottinghamshire's Stuart Broad also misses out as the England selectors look to juggle their assets ahead of a very busy year of cricket.
