Flags, banners and musical instruments
Date released: 30 July 2003
MCC's Ground Regulations will apply, as usual, during the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy Final on Saturday 30th August.
Under these Regulations, spectators may not bring flags, banners or musical instruments into the Ground. Such items could inconvenience other ticket-holders and impair their enjoyment of the cricket. (For example, flags or banners are likely to obscure other spectators' views of the playing area.) In addition, the Ground Regulations form part of MCC's health and safety agreement with Westminster City Council and cannot be relaxed for individual matches.
The policy has been clearly set out:
- in MCC's Ticket Application Brochure, which is used by people who buy tickets by post;
- in the Ticketing section of MCC's website, which is used by people who buy tickets on-line;
- on the 'wallets' in which customers receive their match tickets;
- on the match tickets themselves; and
- in the Ground Regulation posters which can be seen around Lord's.
