Date released: 22 May 2008

Come and enjoy ladies day at Lord's
Come and enjoy the first 'Ladies Day' at Lord's - Saturday 7 June
On Saturday 7 June, Lord's will become 'Ladies' for the day. Champagne, shopping and pampering will be laid on with free entry for ladies.

The second day of the Middlesex v Essex LV County Championship match, will be 'Ladies Day' at Lord's.

Middlesex CCC are inviting ladies to enjoy all the essentials of a socialite's calendar event and some first-class cricket in the beautiful surroundings of 'The Home of Cricket'.

Shopping, celebrities & champagne

Come and enjoy ladies day at Lord's
Wear summer dress and hat & receive a champagne reception
Ladies attending in summer dress and hat will be welcome to enjoy a champagne reception in the Harris Garden. There will be celebrity guests as well as a range of beauty and health treatments available as well as gourmet food and Pimms, of course.

There will also be a range of shopping outlets as well as the cricket to enjoy!

Saturday 7 June is also Derby Day and there will be a range of big screens around the Harris Garden to ensure you don't miss the big race.

Once again this season, Middlesex CCC's shirt sponsor is charity, Breakthrough Breast Cancer. There will be numerous opportunities to donate to this worthy charity.

In honour of their sponsor, Middlesex's one-day cricket shirts are pink, Breakthrough's colour. Why not make it a pink ladies day and wear something pink to mark the occasion?

Men & children

Gentlemen and children are, of course, always welcome at Lord's too. If you've never been able to persuade the lady in your life to accompany you to Lord's, 'Ladies Day' is the perfect excuse to remedy that situation.

Men's tickets are just £14; under 16s and over 65s over £7.
