Lord's: Not in Wiltshire
Date released: 5 March 2010
A ticket re-sale website has been mistakenly directing ticket holders to Lord's Hill, 20 miles south of Bath, instead of the Home of Cricket.

Lord's - definitely in North London Lord's would like to remind customers that Lord's, the Home of Cricket, is in fact in St. John's Wood in north London - not in Wiltshire.
Furthermore, tickets to all matches at Lord's can be purchased directly from Lord's - either at the Ground, on the phone (020 7432 1000) or via our ticket website.
Lord's promise to direct you to the right place as well as sell you the tickets at face value.
Long road to 'Lord's'
News broke of the ticket re-sale site misdirecting people in the West-Country newspaper 'The Western Daily Press'.
Those unfortunate people buying from the ticket re-sale site were directed to Lord's Hill, a barren stretch of land off the A350 in rural Wiltshire - some 100 miles from the Home of Cricket.
MCC Media Manager, Clare Skinner said: "In over 200 years of history Lord's has moved around north London three times but we've been on this spot since 1814.
"I'd like to think we'd notice if our commute to work suddenly took us nearer Somerset than St. John's Wood."
Lord's Hill is 20 miles south of Bath and near Frome in Somerset - birthplace of Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button.
Even with Button at the wheel the 103 mile journey from Lord's Hill to Lord's would take some two hours.
We'd advise all those interested in buying tickets to matches at Lord's to purchase them directly from Lord's.
With three Test Matches (England v Bangladesh; England v Pakistan & Pakistan v Australia); six Friends Provident T20 Cup matches (including four under floodlights); NatWest One Day Internationals (England v Australia & England v Pakistan) plus a wealth of other matches - Lord's is the place to watch cricket in 2010. Just make sure you come to the right place!
