Photos: Floodlights at Lord's

Date released: 11 September 2007

Monday 10th September was a landmark occasion in the long history of Lord's. The first ever floodlit match at 'The Home of Cricket'.

Sky's cameras were there to witness the event and in the words of MCC Chief Executive & Secretary Keith Bradshaw, "The Pavilion was heaving."

A four wicket win for the home team, Middlesex, added the icing to an exciting and historic day at Lord's.

Several thousand spectators were here to witness history. If you weren't, where were you?

Fortunately, lords.org can bring you exclusive photographs of Lord's lit up:

The temporary floodlights go up - this one by the Grace Gate
The lights arrived early to be set-up

The floodlit had to be tall enough to tower over the stands and light the square - like this one behind the Edrich Stand
This tower went beind the Edrich Stand
