Same again for England

England squad news

Andrew Flintoff, widely tipped to return to the squad, is absent after suffering a side strain.

Despite concerns over a shoulder injury, Paul Collingwood was deemed fit enough to be named in the squad.

Honourable mentions

England's batting line-up should all be confident playing at 'The Home of Cricket'. Michael Vaughan, struggling for form for his county, is one of six members of the squad with their name on the England batting Honours Board.

The Honours Board in the home dressing room lists the England batsmen whom have scored a century at Lord's. Vaughan's name appears no fewer than five times, so where better for the skipper to recover his form with the bat?

Kevin Pietersen (three times); Ian Bell (twice); Paul Collingwood (twice); Alastair Cook (twice); and Andrew Strauss (three times) are the other England batsmen whose confidence should be boosted seeing their name on the board as they get ready for the summer's first Test.

In the attack, James Anderson clearly enjoys bowling at 'HQ' too. Taking five wickets in an innings ensures a place on the bowling Honours Board and Anderson has achieved this at Lord's twice.

Last summer's 5-42 against India ensured he joined an exclusive club of bowlers who appear on the Board twice. From the current squad he's joined by Monty Panesar. The Northants spinner took 6-129 against West Indies last year to set the Lord's sign writer to work.

Tour Lord's & see the Honours Boards

There are still Test match tickets left, so make sure you're here to see who's next to get their name on the Lord's Honours Board.

Why not pre-book a tour of the Ground and go and see the Honours Board themselves? Obviously there are no tours on major matchdays (the dressing rooms are full of the Test teams!) but if you have a Test match ticket and pre-book you can take advantage of the new Lord's Tours two-for-one offer.
