Graeme Swann says his rare chance to bowl from the Pavilion End at the "best ground in the world" was the key to picking up five wickets on a remarkable third day at Lord’s.

- click for more photos The 31-year-old off-spinner found prodigious turn bowling with the slope after Tea, taking four for ten as Pakistan crumbled from 46-3 to 74 all out.

Swann then dismissed the Pakistan captain Salman Butt for a second time in the match as the tourists followed-on, ending the day on 41-4.

The Nottinghamshire man was delighted with his best figures at the ground he rated as second only to Trent Bridge, but warned that finishing the job tomorrow could prove a tricky proposition.

"It never really turns here at Lord’s from when I’ve bowled here before and I never get the Pavilion End because the seamers usually have it.

"The wicket was maybe a little bit crusty but it’s still a good batting surface.

"I was quite excited at Tea because I’d seen how much turn there was and I knew I’d have a part to play.

"We were delighted to bowl them out so cheaply because it gave us the chance to get stuck in to them in the second innings.

He is yet to make the Honours Boards at Lord’s however, and despite his superb display in this match, Swann admitted he would prefer to get his name on the batting list.

"To get ten would be lovely because I’ve only ever done it once so that would be delightful." he added.

"It’s never easy taking wickets at Lord’s though and I know it’s a cliché, but I’d rather the team won the match.

"Of course I’d like to get ten and I’d love to get on the Honours Board one day but I’d rather do it the Broad way though and get up there with the bat."
