MCC sponsored cricket ground in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka

Following the Club's fundraising efforts for post-Tsunami Sri Lanka, MCC opened a new cricket ground and training facility in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka.

These pictures follow the months of hard work that went in to the building project:

With the back wall up the focus switches to the front

Building materials are lain out in the new pavilion

Meanwhile, work outside includes laying the foundation for the pitch

Whilst many hands make light work of tidying the outfield

The finished outfield looks the part, with neatly trimmed grass

And the pavilion takes on a more recognisable shape

With the pavilion nearing completition, the roller is out for the new pitch
