MCC (Marylebone Cricket Club) have been around for over 200 years and made up the rules for cricket, which are called the Laws. Everyone obeys them and they were written at Lord’s in 1787. MCC is the most famous cricket club in the world.

MCC created the Spirit of Cricket and this makes cricket a unique sport. They are not officially Laws, but the Spirit of Cricket is mentioned in the Law book. The Spirit of Cricket in general means to have respect for everyone within the game.
