MCC's masterplan for the future of Lord's
Following the biggest survey in Marylebone Cricket Club's 220-year history, the Club have issued a statement regarding the Masterplan for the development of Lord's.
Detailed questionnaires were posted, in Autumn 2007, to 22,000 Full and Associate Members to help establish their views on a range of possible improvements at 'The Home of Cricket'.
The results will play a key role in enabling the Club to develop a strategic masterplan for Lord's.
As well as conducting this survey, MCC convened a series of six special meetings to enable its Members to put questions and comments to a panel consisting of Keith Bradshaw (MCC's Secretary & Chief Executive), Tony Lewis (MCC's Chairman of Cricket) and David Batts (MCC's Masterplan Project Director).
The meetings took place between 8th and 18th October 2007, at venues from Bristol to Leeds.

Batts: Announcing architects short-list soon Speaking on 27th February 2008 David Batts, MCC’s Masterplan Project Director said: "We have recently completed the analysis of the research we carried out amongst MCC members on their priorities and preferences for the future of Lord’s.
"The findings will be made public shortly. Nearly half of MCC’s membership responded and there was overwhelming backing to support the improvement of Lord’s for future generations of cricketers, cricket fans and of course members.
"To achieve this we are in the process of appointing a Masterplan architect who will be tasked with preparing a development plan which will provide an overall approach to the design and layout for the entire Lord’s site.
"A preliminary brief has been sent out to a number of UK and international practices and a shortlist of architects will be announced in the next few weeks."
Since its bicentenary, in 1987, MCC has already spent over £50 million on improving Lord's.
