David Millard

Born in Surrey, David Millard's introduction to cricket was via scorer in village cricket, wicket-keeper at schools level - now with broken front tooth and ' peaking ' as a umpire at 18. Following-on, some thirty years of working as an O&M Officer both for British Gas and Senior Administrator of a Engineering Consultancy was constantly interrupted by a view from the boundary / armchair. However, in 1996 TV and Radio came into play: notably captaining the Sky Sports Team in ' The Pavilion End ' programme and culminating in selection of MCC's Ball by ball service. He has also been a guest reader for BBC Sport in 2007 and so the green light is still indicating not out!
