Jamie Wright

Hailing from the ever-sprawling mass of Reading, Jamie Wright was a bit of a late starter playing cricket but has always had a keen interest in the game. Captaining and generally opening the batting for his side, he’s become know as a bit of a “Boycott” at the crease. He started out life as a bowler and once took a five-for, before deciding that batting was a touch easier physically. Two years ago he played a season of grade cricket in Australia, before returning to the UK to resume his other passions, namely following Reading FC which he’s done since the late Eighties, and presenting a show on his local Hospital Radio station.
