Terry Blake

Weaned onto cricket by his grandfather and father at Hampstead and Lord’s and the back garden at Pinner, Terry Blake was passionate about cricket as soon as he pitched his first leg break. He played his best cricket at Radley and Horsham in his late teens, thereafter descending into village and nomadic cricket after his University days at Exeter. Terry had a spell as a freelance sports journalist in the early 80s before establishing himself in the sports marketing industry working on Davis Cup Tennis amongst other events. In 1989, Terry became Marketing Manager of the Test & County Cricket Board and became Commercial Director of the England & Wales Cricket Board in 1997. Terry was also Tournament Director of the 1999 Cricket World Cup. He is now a sports marketing consultant.
