K.P. Pietersen 109 v West IndiesBack to boards

Kevin Pietersen managed to get his name of the famous Lord’s Honours Boards for a second time when he hit 109 off just 138 balls in the first Test versus West Indies in 2007.

With England leading by 167 in their second innings, all eyes were on the explosive batsman to add to his side’s advantage to which he did in style.

Pietersen’s scored 12 fours in a knock that lasted just 208 minutes and guided England to a lead of 400 heading into the final two days.

Unfortunately for England and Pietersen, rain and adverse weather prevented the hosts from winning the Test with the result concluding in a draw at the end of day five.
