MCC Chess Society

The MCC Chess Society was established in 2000 and the Club participates in the Hamilton Russell Cup competition against other clubs such as the Athenaeum, the RAC and Hurlingham. Friendly matches are also played.

Club Nights are held at least once a month between October and April, and take place in the Members' Lounge in the Pavilion at Lord's. Dates for the 2008-09 season are as follows:

Games are arranged by Members between themselves on the evening. Sandwiches and an "honesty" bar are provided. Players of all standards are welcome and anyone interested in attending should contact the Club Facilities Office on 020 7616 8653. Your name will then be added to the mailing list and you will receive advance notification of forthcoming events.
