Job Title:

Hospitality Executive (restaurants)

Role:

Responsibility, as part of the hospitality team, for the sale, co-ordination and administration of Hospitality business, and in particular matchday restaurants, within Lord’s Cricket Ground. Helping to develop the hospitality product service and delivery, improving quality standards and attaining budgets.

Main Tasks and Accountabilities:

  • Restaurant Co-ordination, ensuring all bookings are managed and processed correctly.
  • Co-ordination of Hamper bookings and administration
  • Responsible for the sending of confirmation letters and tickets (where applicable)
  • To ensure that all payments, both deposits and final balances are up to date and timely.
  • Create and communicate table plans for all areas.
  • Responsibility for signage and literature on match days
  • To monitor and report any maintenance issues and follow up actions required with relevant in house departments
  • Responsibility for timely administration of hospitality box tickets.
  • Website & flyer co-ordination – ensuring all printed matter pertaining to restaurants, is timetabled, produced and that all websites have the most up to date information
  • Knowledge and understanding of the hospitality budget and sales planning, regular financial reporting and preparation of figures
  • Daily box sales
  • Hospitality package sales
  • To carry out any other reasonable request as directed by your manager.
  • Weekend rota applicable throughout season

Person Spec: Skills & qualifications, experience, attitudes/competencies:

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills – focus on relationship building.
  • Passion to work within the hospitality industry
  • Experience in working within a restaurant / sports hospitality environment
  • High level of initiative, with administrative and organisational ability.
  • An understanding of the importance of customer service/satisfaction.
  • Tact, discretion and the ability to work quickly under pressure maintaining a high level of accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to create relationships with all levels of team - catering, wider MCC team & clients.
  • IT literate, including Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
  • High standard of personal presentation.
  • Flexibility in work content and hours.
