MCC Secretary Matches are a series of games which are played against a better standard of opposition than those included in the 450 strong MCC out-match fixture list.
MCC selects its teams at the start of the season, from Playing Members who have experience of first class or Minor Counties cricket or play at a high level for a good club.
MCC plays all of the MCC Universities, the Minor Counties Cricket Association, Ireland A, Scotland and Wales, the Club Cricket Conference, as well as long standing fixtures against the Duke of Norfolk's XI and the MCC Young Cricketers.
The Club also plays a number of touring sides each year, and also celebrates anniversaries.
A notable addition the Secretary Match fixture list in recent years, has been the match against the Duchess of Rutland's XI which takes place at Belvoir Cricket Club and is followed by a Club Dinner in the State Dining Room of Belvoir Castle.
