Cardiff, the reigning champions after victory over Durham at Lord's in last year final, won the T20 competition this Monday with victory Oxford in the final.
The Welsh based side were frustrated in their defence of the title this year though, with four of their five matches abandoned as a washout.

Loughborough Women’s MCCU head into the fifty-over clash against Durham MCCU as firm favourites, having racked-up a 341-run victory against Southampton University in their semi final, and boasting six players with women’s international cricket experience.
