Naved joins Dravid in MCC T20 squad Published: 08 March 2012

Pakistan fast bowler Rana Naved has joined Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly in the MCC side for the Emirates Airline T20 competition in Dubai this month.

Naved, who has played nine Tests and 74 ODIs, was originally due to play in MCC’s Champion County fixture against Lancashire in Abu Dhabi only.

But the 34-year-old will join up with the squad earlier in order to play in the T20 competition at the 7he Sevens Stadium on 23 March.

MCC take on Lancashire, Durham, and Sussex for the trophy, with Mark Ramprakash captaining an experienced and talented side.

Naved has extensive T20 experience with Sussex Sharks in England, and has played for Hobart Hurricanes in Australia’s Big Bash League and Dhaka Galdiators in the Bangladesh Premier League this winter.

He has also signed for Derbyshire Falcons for this summer’s Friends Life T20 tournament in England.
