Warwickshire will go into the final day of their LV= County Championship match at Uxbridge poised for victory as Middlesex still trail by 30 runs with five wickets left after following on.
The Bears reduced the Panthers to 147/5 in their second innings, thanks to wickets from Boyd Rankin, Keith Barker and Chris Woakes on a sunny afternoon in west London.
Only Joe Denly (37) and captain Neil Dexter (36) offered any resistance for the home side in their second innings.
Earlier in the day Angus Fraser's team were bowled out for 309 in reply to the away side's 486. The Bears duo of Barker and spinner Jeetan Patel taking four wickets apiece.
Adam Voges posted his maiden century for the county as he added 69 to his overnight score of 81 to register 150, before he was caught and bowled by Patel, but it wasn't enough to save the follow on.
Voges remains on 15 not out in the Panthers' second innings and is feasibly the home side's only hope of salvaging a draw on day four.
