Leeds/Bradford and Cardiff clash at Lord's in the MCC Universities Challenge Final on Friday 21 June as the MCCU season reached its climax.
The Yorkshire based centre of excellence start the match as favourites, after lifting the MCCU 2-day shield by finishing six points clear of Cardiff after the round robin stage of the competition.
It has been a remarkable season for Andrew Lawson's side, whose defeat to Loughborough in the MCCU t20 final earlier this week was their first at university level this summer, and who recorded their first ever victory in a first-class match against Leicestershire earlier this summer.
They are without star man Luis Reece, who has been signed by Lancashire, but will be confident of securing their second trophy of the summer ahead of the BUCS final clash with Loughborough.
Cardiff meanwhile have also had a solid season under their stand-in coach Mark O'Leary and under the stewardship of skipper and wicket-keeper Adam Miles.
Their side features a name synonymous with English cricket, that of young opener Fabian Cowdrey - son of former England captain Chris and grandson of legendary ex-MCC President Colin.
Lords.org will stream live audio commentary of the entire final on the http://mcc.sportslinemedia.co.uk page.
Exeter and Loughborough's women teams will also clash at Lord's, with their BUCS final taking place on the Nursery Ground at the same time as the MCCU Challenge Final.
