Sciver and Winfield set for England debuts

MCC Women's Young Cricketers Lauren Winfield and Natalie Sciver are set to make their England debuts after being named in a 15-player squad to face Pakistan in July.

The young pair are two of three uncapped players, with Natashah Farrant the third, for the two t20 and two ODI fixtures which will take place at Louth CC and Loughborough University between July 1 and 5.

Surrey all-rounder Sciver - who is spending her second year on the MCC YC scheme - and Winfield, a wicket-keeper from Yorkshire who is enjoying her first summer on the scheme. Sciver is also a current student at Loughborough MCCU.

Charlotte Edwards will skipper the side in the fixtures, which act as a warm-up series ahead of the Ashes series later this year.

Several other past-and-present MCC Young Cricketers and MCC Universities players are also present in the squad, including Sarah Taylor and Danni Wyatt.
