Durham seamer Chris Rushworth has replaced Alan Richardson in MCC's Champion County squad.
Rushworth joins his Durham teammate and MCC captain Dale Benkenstein in the UAE for the Champion County season curtain-opener. He may also take part in the Emirates Airline t20 in Dubai.
Rushworth, 26, became a regular in the Durham team in 2012, starring as the North East county avoided relegation following a slow start to the season.
In nine first-class fixtures at the back-end of the 2012 season, Rushworth took an excellent 38 wickets at an average of just 16.39, finishing joint second top-wicket-taker for the county behind England's Graham Onions.
The Sunderland-born right-armer was a late-comer to professional cricket, making his debut in 2010, but has made up for lost time since, taking 64 wickets in 21 matches at an impressive average of 25.20.
