The MCC Academy will close for refurbishment

The MCC Cricket Academy will be closed from Monday 22 September to Friday 10 October for surface refurbishment and the installation of new PitchVision equipment.

The Lord's gym will remain open during this period, but the Academy bar and cafe will be closed throughout the work period. The Academy will reopen on Saturday 11 October.

The Academy office will be operational throughout, and bookings will be taken for after the refurbishment during this time.

Shoppers hoping to use the Lord's Cricket Store can do so from Monday 29 September.

These improvements are part of MCC's commitment to ensure its facilities remain world-class.

Industry leading PitchVision technology, which is used to analyse batting techniques during net sessions, is already available at the Academy.

However, by bulding PitchVision into two of the Academy's lanes, users will be offered a more detailed analysis and stats package, with advanced technology used to identify users automatically.

The MCC Academy already has permanent HawkEye technology in place, which is used to assist with bowling training.
