Lord’s has been awarded No. 1 Sporting Venue in BDRC Continental’s VenueVerdict Awards 2013. It is the fourth consecutive year that Lord’s has won this prestigious award.
Winners of the VenueVerdict Awards were determined based on the year’s independent feedback scores from corporate clients, providing a comprehensive measure of service standards based entirely on the voice of the customer.
Lord’s, the 'Home of Cricket', was awarded best-performing venue within its category, beating a number of other high-profile sporting venues. In addition, Lord’s also achieved a Gold Standard Accreditation in Event Hosting, based on the previous 12 months’ feedback.
Claire Bullock, head of meetings & events at Lord’s, said: "We’re thrilled to have been named No. 1 Sporting Venue, particularly as for these awards, results are based on feedback directly from our clients.
"This is a great way to kick off what will be a very special year for Lord’s, as we celebrate the Ground’s Bicentenary."
Lord’s offers a diverse range of venues for lunches, dinners, conferences and milestone events and has its own in-house catering team to maintain the high standards expected of the Home of Cricket.
The Ground will honour its bicentennial year with a number of celebrations, including gala dinners, two MCC v Rest of the World matches and by inviting the general public to enjoy some of the usually exclusive areas of Lord’s throughout 2014.
