Little Legend Play workers/coaches

Reference: MCA2 Casual Competitive rate of pay

The world famous MCC Cricket Academy based at Lord’s the Home of Cricket has introduced ‘Little Legends’ courses aimed at 3 and 4 year olds.

There is an opportunity to work during this fun, 45 minute session held at various times on a weekly basis during each academic term. We also run two to five day courses during the half term and summer holidays.

All courses give youngsters a basic introduction to the movement and skills needed for cricket and other sports.


We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated, hard working individuals with experience of working in a play setting in preschools or nurseries.

Experience of working with children aged three to five, and an interest in sport and cricket, is required.

Cricket coaching experience is an advantage.

You should be flexible with your working hours, and have the ability to use your own initiative and have proactive planning expertise.

We are also looking for great communication skills, both oral and written for observation, assessments and reports.

Experience of working as part of a team is also essential. You will need to be adaptable and able to build strong relationships with parents, children and visitors to the Academy.


We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

The successful applicant will be required to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure from the DBS as well as holding a current first aid certificate for children.

This position requires flexible working hours, Monday to Sunday including afternoons, mornings, weekends, during term time and holidays.
