Home Middlesex sign MCC YC on two-year deal
Middlesex have signed MCC Young Cricketer Harry Podmore on a two-year deal.
The 19-year-old fast bowler, who learnt his trade at Ealing Cricket Club in West London, will join the playing staff at Middlesex until at least the end of the 2015 domestic calendar.
Podmore has spent this season on the MCC Young Cricketers scheme, developing his game under the tutelage of MCC Head Coach Mark Alleyne at Lord's.
He will become a fine bowler
He was previously in the Middlesex Academy for two years between 2011 and 2012.
Middlesex's Managing Director of Cricket Angus Fraser was pleased to announce the signing of another promising young seam bowler.
"Harry has worked hard to get a contract with Middlesex CCC and he thoroughly deserves the opportunity he has been given," Fraser said.
"His bowling continues to develop and with further hard work he will become a fine bowler. He joins an exciting group of young fast bowlers at Middlesex that includes Tom Helm and Gurjit Sandhu.
"Middlesex would once again like to thank Ealing CC for the role they have played in supplying the Club with another talented young cricketer."
