New Zealand 2nd innings
7:02pm: An intruiging day's play. Eleven England wickets taken but they lead by two runs going into the final day tomorrow. A reminder that tickets for tomorrow will go on sale from 9am (details above).
We hope to see you here for what should be a great day's cricket. See you tomorrow.
NZ 40-0 CLOSE
7:01pm 15th over: De ja vu as Panesar returns with more LBW appeals too - which are also turned down by Simon Taufel. A maiden from Monty and that's the close of play.
6:58pm 14th over: Ryan Sidebottom's back, from the Pavilion End this time. A maiden from the the left-armer but nothing to really trouble the batsmen.
6:53pm 13th over: Monty's back and shouting at umpire Taufel again for LBW against Redmond, but gets the same response as before.
6:48pm 12th over: Redmond is calling for another bat. Things really aren't going the debutant's way. Every thing that can go wrong, has... but he's still there.
First ball with his new bat and he edges Broad but a dive from Ambrose and he barely gets a whisker on it - Sidebottom stops it going over the rope.
Four from the last ball too - Michael Vaughan falling over himself in the attempted stop.
6:47pm 11th over: A maiden for Panesar.
6:44pm 10th over: Redmond hits one straight back past Broad's dispairing hand - four runs.
Next ball and Broad hits Redmond on the pads for a big appeal. Steve Bucknor's already shaking his head before Broad turns to him - it looked like it pitched outside the line.
6:39pm 9th over: More appeals from Panesar but Simon Taufel is going to need super-slow-mo eyes to pick if it's bat or pad first.
6:35pm 8th over: Broad and Redmond are glaring at each other when the tall England bowler slings down a couple that have Redmond ducking for cover.
6:31pm 7th over: Huge cheers around Lord's for the popular Monty Panesar, coming on at the Nursery End. He'll be encouraged by Vettori's performance with the ball and by Michael Vaughan positioning men around the bat.
Some huge turn for Monty and Tim Ambrose is appealing loudly! Simon Taufel turns down a strong appeal for LBW against Redmond.
Two balls later and the England team are appealing again but Taufel remains stony faced. Encouragement for Panesar. TV replays would appear to show he was unlucky with the first appeal.
6:27pm 6th over: Broad is looking quick but How eventually lines him up and hits it back down the ground for four.
6:23pm: Anderson didn't last long - Stuart Broad comes into the attack.
6:21pm 5th over: Redmond's agony is over. A loose one from Sidebottom and he hits it for four - relief for the Kiwi debutant.
Redmond still looks edgy but Sidebottom looks more like the bowler from the first day than the four-wicket-man from the second day.
6:19pm: We're still receiving your emails to Live@Lords.org - keep them coming in. Who has the upper hand now in your mind?
6:18pm 4th over: Four more for Jamie How, who lets one from Anderson come onto him before picking his place through the covers. Anderson keeps him honest though, a bit of movement has How playing and missing.
6:14pm 3rd over: Vaughan is keen to remind Redmond he's on a pair. There are two slips, two gullys and a short-leg for the debutant.
Three times now, Redmond has had to stop Sidebottom in his run-up. There are distractions behind the bowlers arm, people moving around in the stands presumably. Nerve-racking times for the youngster.
At the end of the over (a maiden for Sidebottom), Simon Taufel trots over to the stand to chat to the authorities over there.
6:04pm 2nd over: As expected, it's James Anderson bowling from the other end. Just to confuse things, this time the even numbered overs (Anderson in this case) are being bowled from the Pavilion End.
Anderson puts one on How's toes and he eagerly clips it away for four.
5:59pm 1st over: It's a quick turn around and England are keen to get at the Black Caps' openers. Ryan Sidebottom opens the England attack, Jamie How facing.
At the other end, Aaron Redmond is risking the dreaded 'pair' - two lovely round zeros.
England 1st innings
5:56pm: Vettori becomes the newest addition to the visitor's bowling Honours Board - the first for three years. The last man before him to have his name on the Test Match bowling Honours Board for visitors? Glenn McGrath.
5:51pm: Vaughan also becomes Daniel Vettori's 250th Test wicket. A real battle between the two captains today and both will have their names added to the Lord's Honours Boards.
5:50pm 112th over: Vettori's rubbing his hands together, clearly hoping to get a crack at Anderson as he chases a five-for. Vaughan surely has to attack or declare.
It's the former but he hits it straight to James Marshall in the deep. Vettori has his fifth wicket and England are all out. Eng 319 all out
5:46pm 111th over: Anderson's clearly been told to have a swing and he is... mostly swinging and missing.
5:40pm 110th over: Monty's in... and back out again. A real turner from Vettori and Panesar gloves it to short-leg. Eng 318-9 Panesar out for nought and a fourth wicket for Vettori. Last man in, James Anderson.

Vaughan salutes his century 5:38pm 109th over: Ugly batting from Sidebottom - a couple of wild swings and then gets his hands in a mess and edges to the slips. Out, caught by Taylor off Mills. Eng 317-8. Sidebottom out for 16. Next up, Monty Panesar.
Century for Vaughan
5:32pm 108th over: A well struck shot from Vaughan looked like four but a great stop from Southee on the rope makes it two.
Vaughan raises the roof! Steps down the wicket and fishes it over the fielders for four to bring up his sixth Test century at Lord's. Bat and helmet in the air and rapturous applause from around the Ground.
5:29pm 107th over: Kyle Mills back on at the Pavilion End - more of the same score-wise: steady singles until... Mills offers Sidebottom some width and he pounces on the chance, creaming it to the boundary.
300 up for England
5:24pm 106th over: Vaughan pushes one from Vettori.
5:22pm 105th over: Sidebottom fends at one from Oram and it races away for four.
5:19pm 104th over: For carefully run singles. England batting carefully now.
5:15pm 103rd over: A couple of singles from the over and Vaughan inches closer to his century.
5:11pm 102nd over: Sidebottom plays for the spin but Vettori skips it straight past him. Next ball, Sidebottom shovels it away for two.
Good variety from Vettori though, keeps Sidebottom guessing and guessing incorrectly more often than not.
5:08pm 101st over: A maiden from Oram and the Kiwis are tying down the scoring again. England lead by 11.
5:02pm 100th over: Vettori keeps it tight from the Nursery End in the 100th over of the innings.
4:58pm 99th over: Sidebottom's nodding at Oram. Perhaps the England seamer is just sizing up the pitch for his next spell with the ball. It's a maiden for Oram.
4:53pm 98th over: Vaughan hits opposite number Vettori for three more - but exposes Sidebottom to the finger spinner for the rest of the over.
One skips away from Sidebottom and beats everything: bat; stumps; and fielders - three byes.
4:48pm 97th over: A gentle single for England ties the score - 277 runs for each team at the moment.
A great shot from Sidebottom gets him off the mark and gives England the lead for the first time.
4:45pm 96th over: Vettori setting a relatively defensive field for Vaughan but a poor delivery from the captain gets the treatment - four runs.
More smart batting from Vaughan, playing it late for three more. Can Sidebottom hang on long enough to help his captain to a century?
4:43pm: Perversely, England may almost like to get out relatively quickly - so they can have a go at the New Zealand openers before the close today.
What do you think? Would you fancy England's chances of a few wickets late in the day? Send us your comments: Live@Lords.org.
4:39pm 95th over: A double change. Jacob Oram into the attack from the Pavilion End. Vettori clearly likes bowling in tandem with the experienced Oram.
New Zealand's first innings lead just eight runs now.
Oram's back with great effect though - movement from the seam and he beats Broad and makes a mess of his stumps. Eng 269-7. Broad out for 25, bringing in Ryan Sidebottom.
4:34pm 94th over: Vettori clearly thinks a change of tack is required - bringing himself back on at the Nursery End for this 94th over.
Vaughan is unflustered though and times a great drive perfectly through the gap for four. Next ball, he advances down the wicket and slaps Vettori for four more.
4:34pm 93rd over: Broad is look very fluent now, driving Southee for four more - that's the fifty partnership.
4:30pm 92nd over: Broad's persistence is clearly irking Martin, who fires in a bouncer - much to Broad's evident amusement.
4:25pm 91st over: Southee has the first ball ripping into the pitch to seam away from Vaughan who cannot get his bat out of the way - but it goes just wide of Aaron Redmond's dive at slip.
Broad is growing in confidence and hits another boundary, driving for four.
The next ball is edged! But once again it drops short of the slip cordon.
4:20pm 90th over: Martin catches Broad's edge - but it drops short of McCullum.
Broad plays one beautiful stroke, on the up, powering Martin to the rope for four.
4:16pm 89th over: Southee's obviously inspired by his captain's confidence in him. Another good over, another maiden.
4:14pm 88th over: A maiden from Martin - a phrase that's being repeated a little too often for the liking of the England batsmen.
4:08pm 87th over: Just one from that Southee over in a tentative re-start after tea.
4:05pm 86th over: Just two from the first over back after tea, Broad taking them from Martin's bowling.
Eng 239-6 TEA
3:40pm 85th over: Great shot from Vaughan. A picture perfect cover drive and Southee goes for four. That's tea.
3:37pm 84th over: Just two from that Martin over, largely thanks to Brendan McCullum who dives like a football goalie to stop one wild one from Martin.
3:34pm 83rd over: Faith in Southee is rewarded - a maiden for the 19-year-old.
3:30pm: Vettori's backing the young and so far slightly wayward Southee. He'll bowl the second over with the new ball.
3:28pm 82nd over: Martin has a few darters at Stuart Broad but the England number 8 does well - it's a maiden.
3:26pm: Email us - another good question emailed in to Live@Lords.org, this one from Ross who asks what the prices are for the last session today.
Well Ross, after Tea, ticket prices are just £15 - a bargain for what promises to be a crucial session of Test Match cricket. Go to the North Gate to get your late tickets for just £15.
For those of you wondering where the North Gate is, this map of Lord's
(604 KB) should help.
3:25pm: There is the new ball and Vettori tosses it to Chris Martin.
3:21pm 81st over: The first over when the new ball's available and Vettori shows no signs of asking for it. Bowling himself from the Pavilion End.
That well placed two from Vaughan might hasten the new ball's arrival.
3:21pm 80th over: Ones and threes from that over. Stuart Broad trying to show the form to make him a genuine all-rounder.
3:12pm 79th over: Vaughan clips to the leg side and salutes the crowd as he marks his fifty.
3:12pm 78th over: Broad clips one as it passes his backside and they run two.
3:10pm: The talking point now is the new ball. It's due in two overs but tea is not far away either. Vettori's clearly got England on the ropes with his finger spin - when does he give the new ball to Chris Martin?
What would you do? Let us know our thoughts and opinions: Live@Lords.org.
3:09pm 77th over: Vaughan shuffles back and clips Vettori away for four. The applause may be more in relief than appreciation.
After his batting yesterday, Vettori is already lining himself up for that man-of-the-match champagne.
3:06pm 76th over: Broad gets himself off the mark with a well-run two. There's a rumble of anticipation around the Ground for Vettori's next over.
3:02pm: Email us - Shikhar has emailed in to ask a good question: "Can you buy a ticket for Monday today?"
Short answer to that one Shikhar is "no" - you'll have to join the queue with everyone else for when the ticket sales point opens at 9am, sorry!
2:53pm 75th over: Magic from Vettori who spins one past Collingwood who edges it to slip. Eng 208-5 Collingwood out for 6. Tim Ambrose coming out via the Long Room now.

Ambrose is out first ball to the delight of the Kiwi fielders And it's a golden one for Ambrose! Out first ball to Vettori, LBW. Umpire Taufel didn't even have to think about that one. Eng 208-6. Stuart Broad the next man in, to face the hat-trick ball.
Pandemonium on the hat-trick ball. The slips are up; McCullum has the bails off and a roar goes around the Ground. But Broad stays put, the ball missed everything and he stood his ground.
A double-wicket maiden for Vettori and appreciative applause from all sides of Lord's for the Kiwi skipper.
2:52pm 74th over: The Kiwis tails are up (do kiwis have tails?). McCullum is getting very chatty behind the stumps but even he is silenced as Vaughan plays one off his legs for four.
2:48pm: That's great news on the tickets for Monday though. This match has suddenly become a thriller. Today's play has already seen the best part of 200 runs and four wickets. If Monday is half as entertaining it'll be a cracking bargain at £20 for adults; £10 for over 65s - and totally free for under 16s!
Kyle Mills is back in the attack from the Nursery End.
2:46pm 73rd over: Vettori's seen enough of Southee for now and brings himself on from the Pavilion End. First ball and he has a big appeal for LBW again but even the slips don't back him and the appeal's turned down.
2:45pm: Ticket news for Monday is in - posted at the top of this page.
2:44pm 72nd over: Vaughan pushes Martin away and they run three good runs. Collingwood's not picking Martin though and the Kiwi bowler beats the bat again. Eng 203-4 DRINKS
2:38pm 71st over: Southee is giving England a release from the pressure built-up by Martin. Every loose ball he sends down is pounced on by Vaughan who hits him to the boundary again.
A streaky one from Collingwood, he bottom edges it and it skips past McCullum and runs all the way to the rope. 200 up for England.
2:33pm: Email us - MORE of you emailing about Monday.
David M; Nick F - thanks for the emails chaps. Stay glued to Lords.org for news of tickets for Monday's play.
2:31pm 70th over: Martin has a big, loud appeal for LBW against Vaughan. Steve Bucknor hesitates for an agonising second... before shaking his head.
Martin is causing England all sorts of problems. Play at him and you risk edging it; leave it and he could trap you LBW.
2:28pm: Email us - more emails asking about tickets for Monday - it makes one wonder if you're reading what I say at all...
Well, Robin L - thanks for your email. There is no news about ticket prices for Monday yet. But when there is, you'll hear it here first. The tickets will, in all likelihood be sold on the day itself, from the gates. I'd advise getting here early.
2:27pm 69th over: Vaughan is settling into his role as leading batsman now, hitting Southee for four from the first ball of the over.
2:23pm 68th over: Vettori is clearly delighted with Martin and knows what a danger he is - there are four slips in for Collingwood but he survives that over - a maiden.
2:20pm We've managed to skew the over-count again. Official line is that Martin is now bowling the 68th over from the Nursery End. Don't worry, you've not missed any action, we just cannot count!
2:18pm 64th over: Captain's stuff from Vaughan as he twists to push Southee through the leg side. Not much power, just great placement to find the gap for four.
2:17pm: Definitely advantage New Zealand now, it's been a great day's play for the Black Caps. Be sure to let us know what you think of the match so far. Send your comments, questions and suggestions to: Live@Lords.org.
2:15pm: These two, Vaughan and Collingwood are England two captains (Test and One Day respectively) so you would hope they can retain their composure under the pressure of this excellent spell from Martin.
2:14pm 64th over: Martin's done it again! Bell edges it and McCullum can barely believe his luck with that simple catch. Great delivery from Martin. Eng 180-4 Bell out for 16. Paul Collingwood is the next batsmen.
2:08pm 63rd over: A couple of singles off that Southee over.
2:05pm 62nd over: The England batsmen are wary of Martin and wisely so. More movement for the seamer makes it a maiden over.
2:01pm: Vettori takes himself off at the Nursery End, bringing back the quicker Chris Martin.

Vaughan runs a good, quick single 1:59pm 61st over: Southee sends a couple of loose ones wide of Vaughan but again the England man is not tempted to play at them. He waits for one he can play and runs a good, quick single.
1:52pm 60th over: Tight and restrictive from Vettori, trying to tease Vaughan out of his crease but the England skipper's not biting.
1:48pm 59th over: Southee getting hit to the boundary now by Vaughan.
1:46pm Email us - You're back on the email after lunch too. Raj P is another one asking about tickets for Monday.
Still no news yet Raj but you'll hear it here first on Lords.org.
1:47pm 58th over: It's still the captain, Vettori from the Nursery End. More shouts of "Catch!" from Vettori but it's four more, Ian Bell chopping to the boundary.
1:40pm 57th over: We're back after lunch and apparently our over count is wrong. We're in the 57th over of the day. Tim Southee coming in to bowl it.
Eng 160-3 LUNCH
1:00pm 54th over: Just the single from Jacob Oram's over and that's lunch.
12:59pm Email us - Andrew H emails in to ask about tickets for Monday.
No news as yet Andrew but when there is, you'll hear it here first.
12:57pm 54th over: Vettori looks a happy man, bowling his next over. Pietersen is always a key wicket and the Kiwis have had a good morning.
Michael Vaughan on the other hand looks slightly bemused. The England captain has yet to notch a boundary too.

Vettori is delighted to get Pietersen out cheaply 12:54pm 53rd over: Bell is off the mark quickly, with a good, square four.
12:46pm 52nd over: Pietersen's out! Vettori has his first wicket. Pietersen gets the line wrong and it's Steve Bucknor this time waving the dreaded finger. Eng 152-3. Pietersen gone, LBW for 3. Ian Bell coming out to bat.
12:39pm 51st over: A misfield has Oram complaining but Pietersen scrambles to get off the mark.
12:39pm 50th over: More tight, control from Vettori.

Jacob Oram appeals for and gets Andrew Strauss' wicket 12:35pm 49th over: Oram's nagging length and straightness has a victim! Strauss is out, trapped in front of his stumps. A big shout from Oram and Simon Taufel's finger finally emerges from his pocket. Eng 148-2 Strauss out for 63. Kevin Pietersen heading out to the middle now.
12:33pm 48th over: A plaintiff cry of "Catch!" from Vettori but Vaughan chipped it, quite deliberately over the fielders for three.
12:30pm 47th over: Strauss clips one from Oram off his hip for three.
12:24pm: Email us More emails asking about tickets for today, this time from John T.
I cannot say this often enough there are still tickets for today available - plenty of them. It's only past midday; the sun is out; the match finely poised - leave now and get yourself down here and you can still enjoy many hours of cricket. It's what Sunday's were made for!
12:22pm 46th over: Skipper v skipper and Vettori has a short-leg stood, breathing down Vaughan's neck.
Strauss attempts a sweep from the first Vettori ball he faces and they run three.
12:21pm: Daniel Vettori brings himself into the attack from the Nursery End. A well-earned rest for Chris Martin who has bowled well this morning and had Cook caught behind.
12:20pm 45th over: Vaughan runs a quick single from Oram's bowling. The thick-set Kiwi has a big appeal against Strauss for LBW but he's got his front foot well outside the line and Simon Taufel is shaking his head.
12:15pm 44th over: Strauss has to be on his toes as they run a pair of quick twos.
Just to confirm, there are still tickets available for today. With the sun shining and some time to be made up from the last three days, it should be a bumper day of cricket.
12:10pm: Email us - more of your emails from Ruth A next, asking if there are still tickets available?
Yes Ruth, there certainly are. Get your sunhat and get down here. Head for the North Gate and come and enjoy the cricket!
12:09pm 43rd over: Fifty up for Strauss from an easy single. A good, controlled innings from the Middlesex man.
Already he looks more relaxed as he finds a gap at gully for three more runs.
11:59am 42nd over: Oram gets a nod of approval from Vaughan as he beats the bat early in the over. A maiden to start with for Oram as the players take drinks.
Eng 125-1 DRINKS
11:56am: The first bowling change for New Zealand - Jacob Oram comes in for Kyle Mills at the Pavilion End.
11:55am 41st over: Strauss is keen to reach his fifty, advancing down the wicket, looking for singles but is sent back by Vaughan.
He wafts at one from Martin and gets an edge... but it drops short of the slip cordon.
11:51am 40th over: Vaughan is off the mark quickly with a solid push for two. Warm applause around HQ for the skipper.
11:46am: Michael Vaughan comes out to bat at three (as 77% of voters on the Lords.org homepage suggested) and the captain needs to find form quickly to help his team.
11:44am 39th over: A great bit of timing from Cook to start the over as he picks up a loose one for four.

Martin is congratulated after dismissing Cook A quick single and Strauss is at it too - pushing one up the hill for four more as he nears his fifty.
But Cook is out! Martin gets a beauty to dart away from Cook and it takes the edge on the way through and Brendan McCullum takes the catch. Cook out on 61. Eng 121-1
11:41am 38th over: Relief at last for the England batsmen. Just a single but the first run for what seems like an age. Closely followed by another.
As if the batsmen have suddenly remembered what they're there to do, Strauss swats a loose one through the leg side for four.
And then Mills is skipping down the wicket, waving his arms. McCullum is tossing the ball in the air and the Kiwis are appealing en-masse. Simon Taufel is unmoved.
11:37am 37th over: Another maiden and enough to keep Cook on his toes this time. One Martin delivery in particular keeps low and has both batsman and fielders frowning.
11:33am 36th over: Another maiden, for Mills this time. If England are to chase a positive result, they'll need to pick-up the run-rate.
11:28am: More famous faces in the crowd being picked out by the TV cameras. Lord Duvall and John McCririck in the crowd, two of racing's most famous faces. Angus Loughran, TV's 'Statto' is at Lord's today too.
11:27am 35th over: More movement for Martin who's finding his line and length. He gets one to straighten up on Cook who plays and misses. A maiden over.
11:23am: Remember to send us your emails. Comments, questions, suggestions we'll take them all. What do you think of the match situation? Any chance England can salvage a positive result? Let us know what you think: Live@Lords.org.
11:22am 35th over: Strauss pushes at one and gets enough on it to reach the boundary.
11:18am 34th over: Strauss lines up to really hit one and it's well stopped by Oram in the gully. The first hint of movement for Martin too.
Strauss drops one at his feet for a quick single. 100 up for England another no ball too, make that 101.
11:14am 33rd over: A quick single to start the over and it had to be quick too as they took on Southee's arm and almost live to regret it.
Mills changes to come over the wicket to the left-handed Strauss. The result? One off the thigh pad for four leg-byes.
11:08am: There's a flash-back of yesterday as the umpires meet for a chat in the middle. No light meters this time it's the ball they look unhappy with at the moment.
Walkie-talkies are out and the box of balls will be coming out too.
11:10am: The ball has indeed been changed. Just a reminder to help you picture things: odd numbered overs are boled from the Pavilion End; even numbers from the Nursery End.
11:07am 32nd over: Cook starts with a clip off his hip for a single before Martin's back to his trick of yesterday - over-stepping to give up a no ball.
11:02am: It's as you were for the Black Caps attack - Chris Martin from the Nursery End, bowling to Cook to start with.
11:01am 31st over: A maiden over to start with but barely anything to trouble to bat, nevermind the scorers.
10:59am: It'll be Kyle Mills, resuming the attack from the Pavilion End. Andrew Strauss facing.
10:56am: The bell is rung; the umpires are coming out; the Kiwis are coming out; the sun is out. We're starting bang on time.
Here come the batsmen too.
10:48am: The pitch is looking magnificent. Dry and flat but still the hint of possible devilment for the bowlers to take advantage of.
Of course, the Lord's pitch will always benefit from the famous slope. Looking at the Pavilion, the slope runs down from right-to-left - a difference of some eight-nine feet from highest to lowest point.
With two left-handers opening for England, the bowler from the Pavilion End will have the slope taking the ball away from the batsmen.
10:29am: Email us - more emails (keep them coming!). Charlotte asks if there are still tickets available this morning.
Good news Charlotte, the answer is "yes" - there were around 5,000 that went on sale this morning and still plenty left. Get yourself to the North Gate at Lord's as quickly as you can. Bring your sunglasses and prepare for a great day's cricket!
Be sure to stop via a cash-point - paying by cash will speed things along nicely. Be wary of all the touts loitering around the Ground too. The match is not sold out. Only buy your tickets direct from the Lord's sales point at the North Gate.

Sunday is certainly living up to it's name today 10:23am: This is more like it. The John Barnes Outswingers, the brass jazz band that play behind the Pavilion, are in fine fettle. People are smiling - it finally feels like summer again.
10:15am: Email us - Our first email of the day already too at Live@Lords.org - from Keith in "Deepest Norfolk", who asks about ticket prices/availability for Monday.
Keith is assuming, of course, that England don't score a mammoth total today before skittling the Kiwis in record time... naturally.
Ticket news for Monday's play will be forthcoming later today - you'll read it here first, on Lords.org.
10:10am: At last! The sun is out at Lord's! It's more a day of sunglasses and sunhats than umbrellas and rain macs.
Spirits are high, the sun is shining and there's every hope of a full day's play today.
Ticket news & lost time
Email us - Os has and asks about tickets for Sunday. Good news Os, there are tickets available. They'll be sold from the North Gate from 9am. Prices range from £40-65 for adults; £20 for under 16s. Arrive early to ensure you get yours.
Email us - Simon R emailed in to ask about all the lost time and will it will be made up? Well Simon, the news, hot from MCC's Cricket Office is "yes".
There will not be an early start - play will begin at 11am tomorrow. However, there is provision to add an extra 30 minutes and/or if more play is lost tomorrow, a potential extra hour of play may be added to the end of the day.
