Stand-in skipper: Pietersen will lead England at Lord's Kevin Pietersen will captain England, at a sold out Lord's, when they take on New Zealand on Saturday 28 June - in the final one-day international of the NatWest Series.

With usual one-day captain, Paul Collingwood banned (see below) England have named Kevin Pietersen as the stand-in skipper.

New Zealand come to Lord's leading the series 2-1, following their close fought and controversial win at The Oval.

Collingwood v Vettori: The England man will sit out the match at Lord's Both sides have apologised: England's Paul Collingwood for not withdrawing the appeal against Grant Elliot, who was run out whilst lying hurt; and New Zealand's Daniel Vettori for his side's exuberant celebrations after clinching victory.
However, the match is sure to have a little extra spice now, with England needing to win to prevent a series defeat.
Experts at MCC have already run the rule over the key players in the match read their verdicts.
The clash at The Oval may prove to be an expensive one for Collingwood. He has been banned for four ODIs after England failed to bowl their overs in the required time.
The punishment is more severe as England (and Collingwood) were penalised for the same offence within the last 12 months - the last time being at Bristol against India in August 2007.
