Success against South Africa for MCC Women

An MCC women's team recorded an impressive win against South Africa on Sunday - winning a 50-over match at Stokenchurch Cricket Club by 45 runs.

After scoring 157 against the South African attack, the MCC Invitation XI bowled out the South African Women for 112.

MCC's side included both Nicky Shaw and Gillian Richards (right) - the first female MCC Young Cricketers.

Each bowled tightly. In addition, Nicky Shaw made an important contribution to MCC's total, with an undefeated 34.
