Adam Williams

Born and bred in the county town of Essex in Chelmsford, Adam starting playing cricket from around the age of seven and could be found most summers either out in the middle or watching Essex with his dad. He played for the county at under 10s and 11s level.

Perhaps his proudest day - when he represented Essex in an exhibition match at Chelmsford - became somewhat of a blur when he was knocked unconscious by a ball in the face while keeping wicket.

In between injuries, Adam still plays club cricket now, but without the keeping gloves on for obvious reasons.

After a year travelling and playing in Australia, he spent three years studying at Loughborough University, followed by a broadcast journalism qualification at Nottingham Trent last year.

Adam now lives and works in Kent as a newsreader and reporter for commercial radio group kmfm, his dream job apart from the occasional 4am starts!

His ambition in broadcasting is to become the next Simon Mann or Arlo White on Test Match Special and be paid to do a job and watch a game he loves.
