Don Ewing
Don Ewing, born in Plymouth in 1959, was introduced to cricket at an early age and spent his infant years avoiding spiteful bouncers, off a length, from his more-talented but annoyingly younger cousin Ian Stevenson. He was captain of his Primary School XI, then exiled to the thirds throughout secondary school in Tunbridge Wells. He still plays for VCC, a wandering side, who as well as playing cricket for the love of the game, are involved in raising money and awareness for the Liwa Primary Schools project in South Africa. Married with three children, when not checking the latest cricket scores, Don runs his own Media Recruitment Company in London. He was delighted to be involved in last season’s inaugural RNIB/MCC commentary iniative and is looking forward to being part of the team again this year.
