Philip Langeskov
Philip Langeskov was born in Copenhagen in 1976. Just as he was getting used to breakfasts of raw fish and schnapps his parents – perhaps with one eye on the career of Ole Mortensen – transported him to the Suffolk/Norfolk border where a love of cricket took hold. For a time he fulfilled the role of Norfolk wicketkeeper and specialist No. 11 batsman with distinction. Sadly, as the 80s became the 90s, he fell victim to the ridiculous vogue for wicketkeepers who bat. Not one to rest on his laurels, he took his coffin to London for university and a career in publishing. He currently edits books on literature and keeps wicket for the Grays Inn XI; he is not sure which role is the more redundant.
