Frequently Asked Questions

Click a question to find the answer:

May I apply for tickets for more than one match day in a single order?

Yes. Applicants may apply for as many days as they wish, however, applicants should be aware that success in the ballots for the various match days is not guaranteed. Once you have clicked on ‘Apply for Ballot Online’, then select ‘Matches’, the major match days will appear, select the stand required for that particular match and then indicate the number of tickets required before pressing ‘Confirm’. Applicants can then select another match day.

May I apply for juvenile tickets?

Yes. Once you have selected the match day required, the list of the available stands will be displayed and the juvenile ticket option for that particular stand will appear as a separate category. Click ‘Add to Basket’ and select the number of juvenile tickets required.

When MCC allocates tickets to my order, will the tickets be seated together?

Yes. For an individual applicants order, MCC will always allocate the seats requested together.

Am I guaranteed the tickets I’ve requested?

If an order has been submitted for inclusion in the General Public ballot, then the tickets are NOT guaranteed. If, after the ballot has been conducted (on 4th March 2009), an order is submitted for any remaining tickets; then these tickets are guaranteed.

When will I know if my application has been successful in the ballot?

The first indication an applicant has of any tickets being allocated will be a payment being charged to the credit or debit card submitted with the order. Please note that MCC does not send a notification e-mail upon the allocation of tickets. At the conclusion of the ballot, unsuccessful applicants will be sent an e-mail informing them of this outcome.

When MCC conducts the General Public ballot, am I limited to the stand I’ve selected?

No, an applicant has the option of indicating whether or not alternative stands are acceptable on their application.

Which credit and debit cards are accepted?

MCC accepts Visa, Mastercard and Maestro cards. If an applicant has their card changed after submitting an order, please contact the MCC Ticket Office. Please note Solo and Electron cards are not accepted as payment.

When will MCC charge my card?

If an applicant has submitted an order for inclusion in the ballot, the credit or debit card quoted will be charged anytime from 4th March 2009 onwards until the conclusion of the ballot.

If an applicant has submitted an order after the closing date of the ballot then, regrettably, MCC cannot give an exact time as to when the card will be charged, as this depends on the Ticket Office completing the ballot applications first.

MCC would ask applicants to ensure that funds remain in their account, if possible, that cover the cost of the tickets applied for.

What should I do if I do not receive a confirmation e-mail?

MCC asks applicants that before confirming your order to check that your e-mail address has been correctly quoted. If the confirmation e-mail is not received, please send an e-mail to onlinesales@mcc.org.uk, quoting your name and address to enquire as whether your order has been successfully submitted to MCC.

Please note that the confirmation e-mail is only sent when the order is submitted and not upon the allocation of tickets.

What should I do if I wish to amend my order?

Please e-mail onlinesales@mcc.org.uk quoting your order reference number, your name and the details of the amendment. Amendments need to be submitted as soon as possible and MCC will endeavour to change your order before it is processed.

What should I do if I wish to cancel my order?

Please e-mail onlinesales@mcc.org.uk quoting your order reference number and your name and the details of the cancellation. The cancellation needs to be submitted as soon as possible and MCC will endeavour to cancel the order before it is processed.

If my friends and I submit separate orders, how do we get allocated seats together?

Once all of the orders have been successfully submitted, send an e-mail to onlinesales@mcc.org.uk quoting all of the reference numbers and stating that all the applicants would like to be seated together. MCC advises applicants to nominate one person to co-ordinate the collection of the reference numbers and to e-mail.

This email should be sent as soon as all bookings have been submitted. Any delay may result in the seats not being allocated together.

Once a group request is submitted MCC cannot guarantee that additional applicants who wish to join a group will be accommodated in the party.

If I am successful with my ticket application, will the tickets be sent out?

Yes, the tickets will be dispatched as soon as possible. However, if you are purchasing tickets for an imminent match day, the tickets will be held for your collection at Lord’s, details will appear on the website.
