MCC Head of Cricket, John Stephenson, guides Lord's TV through the excitement and anticipation around the ground for the first match of 2012 at the Home of Cricket.
Newly promoted Middlesex are back in action at their home ground to face historic rivals Surrey in a four day LV County Championship clash.
Stephenson discusses the work that the ground staff, cooks and everyone at Lord's puts in to be ready for the opening day of the season.
He gives an insight into what goes through the player's minds as they walk through the famous long room, down the pavilion steps and past the Members to play in one of the most iconic sporting venues in the world.
This year also sees Lord's as a host for the London 2012 Olympics. In July the best archers in the world will compete at the Home of Cricket for the chance to win Olympic gold.
