Assistant Operations Manager - Catering Retail

An exciting development opportunity for someone already at an entry-level management role in high volume venue catering to build a career in venue catering operations by assisting in the management of all catering retail match day bar operations (30 bars & food units) and concession operations (38 bars & food units) at one of the world’s most iconic sporting venues.

Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager for Catering Retail, this is a hands-on role overseeing the operation on non-event and event days with a focus on planning, organisational and administrative work. The perfect candidate will have a focussed and driven mindset, ready to make the next step in their career whilst valuing the need for training and development to achieve their goals.

  • Passionate about catering retail food and beverage, showing an up-to-date knowledge of F&B trends with a desire to learn more and develop a career within venue retail catering.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and the ability to establish relationships with a range of stakeholders, suppliers and customers.
  • Strong understanding of bar and cellar operations backed up by a minimum of 2 years experience managing operations within a large-scale venue retail catering environment.
  • A clear understanding of the importance of excellent customer service.
  • High level of initiative that allows for self-planning, prioritising and managing of workloads to meet deadlines.
