On 22 June 1814, MCC played Hertfordshire in the first match to be staged at the new Lord’s Ground.
Exactly 200 years later the two clubs will meet again as MCC celebrates the Home of Cricket’s 200th birthday by throwing open the doors of Lord’s.
For the first time since 1966, spectators will have an opportunity to watch cricket from the Victorian Pavilion – normally the preserve of MCC Members – and see behind the scenes of one of the most famous buildings in world sport.
The Club will also provide special tours of the Ground, themed food and drink offerings, music provided by local community groups and various cricket displays alongside the action on the field.
Tickets for the match are available to buy online now.
