Directed by legendary director Kabir Khan, “83” tells the inspiring story of India's historic win at the 1983 Cricket World Cup, led by talismanic captain Kapil Dev. The film features an all-star cast, including Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev and Deepika Padukone as his wife, Romi. Whether you are a die-hard cricket fan or simply a lover of film, you will love the experience of watching “83” on one of our massive state-of-the-art LED screens in a truly special setting.

40 years on, we are celebrating this triumph by opening our gates to give you the unique opportunity to watch “83” whilst sitting on the same pitch where history was made. You’ll be able to take your place on our outfield, surrounded by the Home of Cricket, the perfect backdrop to relive the moment when India lifted the Prudential trophy on our Pavilion balcony. You can also get up close to the trophy raised by Kapil Dev on that famous day, which is housed at Lord’s.

You can choose to enjoy the special surroundings sat directly on our hallowed turf with a picnic blanket you’ve brought from home or purchased from one of our Lord’s shops. Our outfield is important to us so please don’t bring your own chairs as that may damage it, but if it’s extra comfort you need then you can upgrade to one of our premium bean bags. Please note that bringing in food and drink is not permitted. However, we’ve got you covered as you can treat yourself to some of our many world-class on-site food and drink offerings as you sit back, relax, and make the most of the summer at Lord’s.
