Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) is offering new Debenture-Seat schemes at Lord’s for either six or two Cricket Seasons, beginning from 2021. These comprise of Six-Year Compton and Edrich, Mound Stand Gold, Mound Stand Silver and Grand Stand Silver Debentures and Two-Year Grand Stand Bronze Debentures.
Debenture Match Days at Lord’s are often over-subscribed and the purchase of a Debenture is the only way to guarantee your right to buy a ticket for your very own seat at the Home of Cricket.
Lord’s is unique in staging two Test Matches every year, with this position confirmed until at least 2024. The Ground will also host Middlesex’s home T20 Blast games and 2021 will see the inaugural year of The Hundred – the new competition where the Lord’s-based team, London Spirit, will compete for the trophy – with Lord’s hosting the Final.
The new Debenture-Seat schemes will provide holders, during the relevant Ticket Rights Period, with the right to buy a ticket on Debenture Match Days for their own seat and access to bar and restaurant facilities, together with complimentary entry to the Ground on certain other days of matches, including the fifth days of Test Matches. More information on Prices, Ticket Rights, dining options, Debenture Match Days and Other Match Days can be found in the Offer Document, which is available on request from the Debenture Office by email at debentures@mcc.org.uk.
Other than guaranteeing the holder the right to buy a ticket for their own designated seat, the Debentures will be non-convertible, unsecured, non-interest bearing loans repayable in 75 years and will have the other rights and benefits set out in the Offer Document. The loan element of the Debentures is an unsecured debt of the Club and, accordingly, purchasing Debentures places a Debenture Holder’s capital at risk. You should ensure that you read and understand the contents of the Offer Document before applying for Debentures. In particular, your attention is drawn to the risk factors set out in Section II of the Offer Document. The definitions set out in section VI of the Offer Document apply equally to this webpage unless the context requires otherwise.
The upgraded Compton and Edrich Stands will offer breath-taking views behind the bowler’s arm and facing the iconic Lord’s Pavilion with Compton and Edrich Debenture Holders also having access to new dining venues.
The Upper Mound Stand and Upper Grand Stand both offer superb views of Lord’s, with Debenture Holders having access to their own bar facilities on Debenture Match Days.
In addition, Gold and Silver Debenture Holders in both stands have access to restaurant facilities on those match days.
