Marylebone Cricket Club (the Club) is based at Lord’s Ground, the Home of Cricket, a stunning venue steeped in history and charm, with extraordinary architecture and a fascinating collection of cricketing art and memorabilia, including the iconic Ashes Urn.

An opportunity has arisen within the Club Facilities Department for an Administration Assistant to carry out general office duties.

Duties include processing applications for events/tours/dinners, the administration and reconciliation of all cash, cheque and credit card payments and supporting the Society Administrator with the organisation of events.

Required skills and experience

You should be well presented, with a professional telephone manner and excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.  In addition, good IT skills, including MS Office and, particularly Excel, are a must.  You should have excellent organisational skills and some experience of organising events and working to budgets.

A flexible approach to working hours is also essential, particularly during the cricket season as you will be required to work extended hours on all major match days, including weekends and public holidays.  There is also the possibility of some late evening work to cover events.  Knowledge of cricket and golf is a distinct advantage.
