Morgan Media Centre, the Ground offers a dazzling array of possibilities for events of all types.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Catering department for a Food Procurement Assistant to work alongside the Kitchen team and assist in the continuing delivery of Meeting & Events, Hospitality and Match day catering, whilst maintaining the high standards that are expected by guests of Lord’s.

The role varies greatly day to day as the kitchen team caters for small, private events up to International matches. Key duties are to assist the Kitchen team with stock control, involvement in store maintenance, producing financial data and assisting with food ordering to ensure that budgeted financial targets are achieved and business potential is maximised.

Required Skills & Experience

With a passion for delivering exceptional service, the ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail orientated and would have gained his or her experience in a multi-site operation, working closely with a large and diverse team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. A sound knowledge of Microsoft office package, in particular Excel is essential, as is an ability to prioritise and organise workloads.

Prior experience in financial food controls and food procurement is preferred, but not essential. A formal catering qualification and interest in food are desired.

Significant flexibility is required for attendance on match days and working extended hours, including weekends.
