Head of Hospitality Operations

Lord’s Cricket Ground, the most famous cricket ground in the world, and owned by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), is an exceptional venue with a wealth of experience in delivering high quality hospitality, corporate and private events.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Hospitality to deliver match day operations across five restaurants, four debenture venues, 70 corporate and private boxes and five hospitality facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of up to 3500 x covers on a peak day, working in the Catering Department to ensure standards of operation deliver excellence and offer outstanding customer experience.

A busy and exciting summer for cricket, England v Australia and the ICC Cricket World Cup requires the individual to cope with high pressured situations, leading by example and managing the existing team. The role will work closely with Catering Staffing Manager to assist with training and development of the casual workforce.

Additional core duties for this role include; developing staff to deliver excellence in the Front of House Team; managing client tastings; liaising with the Kitchen team over menus and service style; and ensuring standard operating procedures for all venues in the Ground are followed.

Required skills and experience

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in either the Hospitality or Leisure Sector and experienced at running high profile events.

In addition, meticulous attention to detail across all pre-event information is essential to ensure standards remain high. The ability to deliver all operations within agreed monthly forecast and budgets, particularly labour costs is essential.
