Lord’s Ground, the most famous cricket ground in the world, and owned by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), is renowned worldwide for staging international cricket matches with up to 28,500 spectators in attendance. International matches are a crucial revenue stream for MCC, in particular the non-ticket income from Catering and Hospitality.

An exciting opportunity has come up within our Catering and Hospitality Department for a Hospitality Manager or Hospitality Executive (dependent on experience) to support the Head of Hospitality and Event Operations in delivering the hospitality business. The role will include the coordination and fulfilment of the hospitality product, service and delivery, whilst improving standards, developing the products and attaining budgets.

The Hospitality Manager/Executive will be required to have an in-depth knowledge of MCC’s hospitality offerings. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the Hospitality delivery ranging from pre-match coordination to ‘on day’ delivery.

Required skills and experience

With experience of working in events or hospitality the ideal candidate will have a strong customer focus, along with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills as the successful candidate will be required to establish relationships with a range of customers and suppliers. A passion to work within the hospitality industry is essential.   Strong IT skills, especially Word and Excel, are essential. Significant flexibility is required for attendance on Major Match Days

Additional Required skill and experience for the Hospitality Manager

A proven track record within the hospitality Industry, managing large scale events from coordination to delivery is essential.   Experience managing a team, with the ability to prioritise and organise workloads, often to tight deadlines.  Building budgets for all elements of the hospitality operation.
