Stock Administrator - Catering

Lord’s is one of the most iconic sports grounds in the world, known as the Home of Cricket in the UK and beyond. It’s the largest cricket ground in the country, regularly selling out its 28,500 capacity for major matches.

International matches are a crucial revenue stream for Marylebone Cricket Club (“the Club”), which owns Lord’s, in particular the non-ticket income from Catering, Hospitality and Retail. Lord’s prides itself on being the best place to watch and play cricket in the country, and a key element of this is to make sure catering stock systems empower managers to make the right purchasing decisions to ensure the correct products are available at all times.

We are now recruiting for a fixed-term Stock Administrator to join the Catering Finance team to assist with the administration of the Catering stock and procurement systems. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional experience to a roaring capacity crowd.

EPoS and stock control systems are deployed throughout all bars, restaurants, suites and cellars at Lord’s Cricket Ground for both cricket matches and the Club’s extensive events arm. This role will be responsible for ensuring all stock data is inputted into catering stock and procurements systems to ensure a live stock position is maintained at all times. The role will also assist with the periodic stock taking and the following investigation of variances.

Required Skills and Experience

Strong administrative and organisational ability will be essential to ensure that methodical working practices are employed to maintain a high level of accuracy whilst working quickly under pressure. Strong IT skills are also essential.

Flexibility is vital as there is a regular need to cover evenings and weekends as well as working extended hours during the cricket season and all Major Match Days.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have worked in a similar environment and will have experience of Food and Beverage stock control processes and systems.
