Each year, thousands of playing Members take part in more than 500 matches around the world, from first-class fixtures featuring international players such as Rahul Dravid to games against schools and clubs celebrating important landmarks.
During the high point of the summer, MCC can be found playing in up to fifteen fixtures at one time across the UK.
The Club also undertakes several overseas tours each year, helping develop the game in countries below Test level.
More high profile matches include Secretary's Matches against stronger opposition, many of which take place on the main Ground at Lord's.
The MCC fixture with the highest profile however remains the annual Champion County fixture against the previous season's domestic four-day winners which has taken place in a number of overseas locations.
In addition, MCC faces over 150 clubs on a regular basis; it also plays a pivotal role in many anniversary matches every season. At present, MCC teams are regarded as guests at these fixtures and, through the generosity of their opponents, there is no match fee for its players. (The Club's overall contribution to cricket does, though, amount to some £3 million per year.)
MCC is always keen to hear from schools where cricket is developing, as well as any club that would like to have MCC play a part in its anniversary celebrations. If you are interested in playing an MCC team, please email the Cricket Office.
The full 2019 fixture list will be announced here shortly.
